We provide nursery for children under four, and classes with dedicated teachers and helpers for children in Pre-K and Kindergarten. We also provide children's church for this age group, which takes place during the worship hour. We are currently utilizing The Gospel Project curriculum in all of our classes, so that everyone in the family is learning the same material. This makes for great family conversation over lunch after church.
At Lake Village Baptist Church, we understand the importance of teaching our children from a very early age the truth of Scripture. While much of our teaching comes in the form of the familiar Bible stories that many of us were exposed to as children, we believe that it is important that even in these stories we try to convey how everything points to Jesus and His fulfillment of Scripture. In 1962, the famous Christian theologian Karl Barth was asked to give a summary of all of the millions of words of theological writing he had produced. He replied, "Jesus loves me, this I know, for the Bible tells me so."
